NOTE: We can still do the Rapid Test 2 days before according to our agent, or the PCR 3-5.

  • COVID Testing:

    1. Rapid antigen test (taken 2 days prior to departure Sept 7th)

    2. PCR test (taken 3-5 days prior to departure Sept 4-6th). The PCR test is the “gold standard” test for diagnosing COVID-19 because it’s the most accurate and reliable test.

    3. Rapid Test at Home with Purchased Kit: will also accept a rapid test at home taken Sept 7 before departure. You would need to purchase an at home test. These can be purchased at Target, Walmart, Walgreen, Amazon, etc. for $20-$40.

The testing windows are set a specific number of days before departure by Worldstrides Health & Safety Team in conjunction with their partnership at Docs on Call. They must fit within that window.

  • Anyone receiving a positive test result will not be able to participate in the program. In this circumstance, they should not take a second test, since only the first result will be accepted. Please note, if a participant has been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the program start date, they will not be able to participate and should stay home unless they meet an exception (e.g., fully vaccinated and have tested negative 3-5 days after exposure, and are not experiencing symptoms; or recently recovered from COVID in the last 90 days).

  • Two masks will be provided each day. Masks are required on the plane, bus and venues that we visit. Feel free to supplement with a few favorite masks from home!

  • Pre-Tour: WorldStrides encourages all travelers to limit contact with non-household individuals and exposure to public places for 14 days prior to departure. Feel free to work, go to the grocery store, go to church, etc, and live your life, but limit vacations 14 days prior to our trip. If a traveler is symptomatic or tests positive within 14 days of travel, they should not travel with the group and should immediately contact their Program Leader or WorldStrides Customer Service.

  • On-Tour: If a traveler exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 while participating in a program, we will help them get tested and safely separate them from the rest of the group while awaiting the results. If the test result is positive, we will be there every step of the way, from helping to secure the necessary care to arranging medically-required isolation.

  • Post-Trip Assistance: In addition to advising all participants to monitor their health for 14 days after returning home and let their Program Leader know if they become ill, WorldStrides will work with the Program Leader or appropriate parties to carry out contact tracing and notifications as needed.

BEST option--call your provider and see what they recommend for setting up your test, and they can set up an order for you.
