Research interests
My current research interests are within the biophysics of molecular, macromolecular and subcellular systems. I have been working on such topics as:
adhesion of cellular and biomimetic membranes,
formation of domains and patterns in multicomponent membranes,
adhesion-induced condensation of membrane receptors and lipid rafts,
stability of clusters of adhesion protein complexes in the immunological synapse,
interactions of solute molecules with lipid membranes,
curvature generation in model membranes,
mechanics of the membrane-protein sorting ESCRT system,
molecular mechanisms of activity regulation of protein and lipid kinases,
ensemble refinement methods based on low resolution and/or sparse data,
conformational transitions of multi-domain proteins with intrinsically disordered segments,
thermal and mechanical stability of multi-domain proteins and multi-protein complexes,
properties of peptide linker modules in cellulosome multi-enzyme complexes.
