Joe Davies Heritage Airpark

2001 E Ave P, Palmdale, CA 93550

The Joe Davies Heritage Airpark houses a collection of aircraft designed, produced, tested or modified at Plant 42, an advanced development facility established by the USAF in Palmdale, California in 1953.

The airpark was established by the City of Palmdale and the USAF in the late 1990’s and was named in honour of Joe Davies, a USAAF pilot during WWII and after. He was Plant 42’s third commander from 1963 to 1967, served in the Vietnam War between 1967 to 1968 and retired from the USAF in 1973 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was elected to the Palmdale City Council in 1988 serving three 4-year terms.
