IZZY BAKES FOR THE RSPCA

We love it when our children try to make a difference. Kind hearted Izzy in Year Six's Kwamkamba class decided to bake a batch of cupcakes to raise some money for the wonderful RSPCA. She was sold out in no time. Well done Izzy.

BOCKETT'S FARM STAFF APPLAUD THE BEHAVIOUR OF OUR YEAR ONE CHILDREN ON THEIR RECENT VISIT

Down on Bockett's Farm pig racing, a ride on a tractor and meeting a variety of farm animals up close made for a fabulous day out for our Year One children. The icing on the cake was when the farm staff told our Year One team that Curie and Pankhurst classes were the best behaved cohort of Year Ones to ever visit the farm. Praise indeed and a huge accolade for these fabulous children who amaze us every day with their outstanding behaviour both in and out of the classroom. Well done Year One. Here's Curie class. We'll bring you the Pankhurst pictures in our next issue.

Have you got any construction toys you could donate?

We are looking for donations of construction toys, such as Lego, Duplo and K-NEX for lunchtime play. Giving children lots of options for outdoor play ensures we can try and keep everyone happy in the playground. If you have any construction toys in good order you no longer want we would love to have them. Collection buckets will be in the playground on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd of November. So, if you have a moment to sort out some unwanted construction toys over half-term, we would be very grateful. Thank you so much.

GAVIN AND THE CHESS KIDS HAVE ALL THE RIGHT MOVES

Here's Gavin Wall our fantastic Chess Coach in action.  He has been running Chess Clubs with us for years. We're so lucky to have a chess teacher of Gavin's calibre at St Stephen's. An International Chess Master Gavin, he is a fantastic teacher and his popular clubs run on Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes.
