Meet Mrs. O 

Hello! 

My name is Mrs. Melody Oberschlake and I am thrilled to be returning to Lakeview Intermediate for my seventh year of teaching in the Stow Munroe Falls City School District!

Last school year I taught the fifth and sixth grade general music classes and directed the Lakeview 5th and 6th grade choirs. I have previously directed our Lakeview musicals including Madagascar Junior: A Musical Adventure (2022), The Jungle Book Kids (2020), and Alice in Wonderland Junior (2019) at Lakeview as well! Now that I am a new mama, I am taking a step away from directing the musicals, but no fear, another director will be leading the musiclas at Lakeview! 

I received my Master of Music degree in Music Education from Kent State University in spring of 2022 where I also completed Orff Level 1 training. I received Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. During my time at OWU, I majored in vocal music education and double minored in both piano and clarinet. 

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband Jonathan, crafting, and camping! In the fall of 2022, my husband and I welcomed our darling daughter to the Oberschlake family! We also have a sweet, high-energy dog named Theo! 

I can't wait to continue making music with the wonderful students of Lakeview this upcoming school year!
