New Simple Plugin Install method

As most of you may know I have included the manual procedure for installing the plugin since it was first released. this procedure still works, and works for all versions of SketchUp on all the difference operating systems (Windows, Mac, and Linux for those that use that under Wine).

However the manual procedure while works requires some manual steps (obviously) involving copying files around.

With SketchUp version 8 a new feature was added to simplify the plugins install process, so if you have SketchUp 8, you may want to use this method to install the plugin:

For Windows (Click any of the images to enlarge)

1. Copy the Wudworx plugin zip file from the provided email to your computer (example: save it to "downloads')

2. Using windows explorer, go to the folder you saved the file in, and using the menu choose "File->rename"

4. Start SketchUp, and using the menu bar go to "Window->Preferences"

5. In the Preferences window, go to "Extensions" and click on the "Install Extension" button at the bottom

6. Navigate to where you saved and renamed the plugin file earlier. Select the file and click "Open":

7. If windows alerts you with a warning that the plugin install will access some files - that is normal. click "Yes" to install the plugin (If you don't see this, thats ok too):

8. You will see a confirmation that the plugin was install properly, click "OK":

9. scroll down in the extensions list until you see "Wudworx" and enable it by checking in the checkbox to the left of it and click "OK" at the bottom:

10. Your Wudworx Plugin is now installed and functional, you can access it from the Plugins menu bar, or from the toolbar if you have the toolbar enabled:

You are free to use the plugin at this point!

For Mac:

This section will be updated at a later time. the instructions are fairly similar to the above "For Windows" instructions with some minor differences.
