Musical Director

Geoffrey Weaver has been Musical Director of Wolverhampton Chamber Choir since 1990 and brings a lifetime's experience to the task of enabling people of all backgrounds and abilities to sing together.

Formerly Director of Studies and Director of Outreach at the Royal School of Church Music, Geoff now enjoys a busy musical schedule both in the UK and abroad as a conductor, teacher and Associated Board Examiner. His musical career has taken him to many countries including: Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Canada, USA and extensively in Eastern Europe.

He has also conducted for numerous radio and television broadcasts, including conducting the children’s choir for the National Millennium Service attended by the Queen in St Paul’s Cathedral. He also directed the music for the Lambeth Conferences of 1998 and 2008.


Assistant Musical Director

Gary Cole obtained music degrees and awards from the Royal College of Music and Cambridge University, where he held an Organ Scholarship. He also obtained the Coventry Cathedral Recital Award in the Fellowship examination of the Royal College of Organists.

He has made several recordings with his own chamber choir - one of which was a BBC Radio Three Building a Library 1st choice recommendation. He is an experienced church musician having been Director of Music at St Peter’s Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton from 1998 to 2001 and St Mark’s, Regents Park and the City of Wolverhampton Choir. He continues to play the organ in local churches and is also Musical Director of Dudley Choral Society Gary works with many choirs and ensembles making recordings for his record label Regent Records
