LogBook Archive
Like many other clubs and amateur radio operators, the University of Cincinnati Amateur Radio Club has kept detailed logbooks since its founding in order to remain compliant with FCC regulations. Below you will find our archive of logbooks dating back to 1924. Our collection is comprised of a few distinct periods. Below you will find each period accompanied by their corresponding logbook collections.
BLACK Alexander LogBook: 1924 - 1935
The oldest logbook in the possession of the club is the Black Alexander Log Book which features a first entry date of June 6th, 1924. This date is used by the UC Amateur Radio Club as evidence of our operation in the 1920s. The final date logged on the final page of this book is November 27th, 1935, which means the logbook contains a little over 11 years of history. The name of this logbook is attributed to the black binding of the book and the nameplate attached to the front cover which reads "Alexander M. Wilson University of Cincinnati". The Black Alexander LogBook contains 672 pages and has been split into fourteen 50-page sections.

Red LogBook Collection: 1937 - 1948
The second oldest collection in possession of the UC Amateur Radio Club is the Red Logbook Collection. This collection of logbooks is comprised of 20 volumes ranging from April 1st, 1937 to May 24th, 1948. (WIP ARCHIVING EFFORT by KE8KSZ - LAST UPDATE May 2022)
