Valentine's Day Shops will be open at both Kinry and Vassar on Tuesday, February 14. Students will have an opportunity to buy gifts for loved
ones. Nothing is priced more than $2. Shops will open during lunch hours at both schools.

 

 

 

 

SCIENCE FAIR NEWS

The annual K-4 Science Fair will be held Tuesday, March 6 from 7 to 8 pm at Vassar Road School. All students are invited to present a project in this evening of scientific sharing.

 
 
The 6th Grade Student Council is participating in the "Pajama Program" and will be collecting new pajamas and new books for children in need.  Donations can be dropped off in the Kinry lobby during the entire month of February.

KINRY HAS CHARACTER Kinry's 6th Grade Student Council created this bulletin board to promote the character trait that is the focus of the month. Students are given opportunities to show responsibility and are nominated for recognition. Students read their ideas on responsibility and learn what it means to be responsible at school and in life. February's trait is Fairness. 
 
Please support students in K-5th grades this month as they raise money for the American Heart Association and participate in the annual Jump Rope for Heart campaign. At Kinry, grades 4 and 5 will jump rope on Feb. 23 from 3:40 to 5 p.m. Sixth graders are raising money in the Hoops for Heart effort as well. Kinry 6th graders will shoot hoops on Feb. 13 from 3:40 to 5 p.m. Collection envelopes are available at both schools. Great job students!!! Thank you to family and friends for your support.

MARCH MADNESS
Come support your Vassar/Kinry Faculty basketball team as they "make it rain" to help raise funds for PTA programs and the Ketcham High School baseball team! Faculty teams from Kinry, Vassar, Sheafe Road, Oak Grove, Myers Corners, Evans, RCK and Wappingers JHS will compete in the charity tournament on Friday, March 23 from 5 to 8 pm at Ketcham. Tickets are expected to be $5 or $6.
Help support the Shop to Stop Child Abuse Sale
Donations of new and gently-used clothes, toys, maternity and other children's items are being accepted at the locations below. No stuffed animals, drop-side cribs or car seats please! The sale will be held April 28 from 9 to 2 at the Jewish Community Center in Poughkeepsie.
