Sacramento 2021

The gathering in Sacramento was small. The three shipmates were Ben Fleming, Nick Kleszczewski, and Steve Magers. Mike McMurry’s sister and niece, Sally Barker and Mellanie also attended. The other participants were Mary Ann Fleming, Susan (Fleming) Farmer, Laurie (Fleming) Rodriquez, Julie Kleszczewski, and Priscilla Magers.

Friday the group went to visit Folsom, an 1849’s era gold mining museum and town. The docents were clad in period clothes and provided historical stories and taught gold panning. The lunch was at a cliff toprestaurant overlooking the American River.

Saturday was a trip to Old Sacramento where the group boarded an excursion train for a ride down along the Sacramento River. Dinner was a view of the sunset over the Sacramento River.
