Home page of Titch the Clown

This site is for the eclectic array of interests that is Titch the Clown (Ian Titulaer), Ukuleles, Boats and whatever else takes my fancy

Lately I have been a maker of ukuleles. I give my ukes away on a donation to charity or play it forward basis. I send a uke and when you receive it you give a donation to a charity or find some other ingenious way to play it forward . Donations have varied from $50 for a simple cookie tin uke to $700 for a custom pineapple. My current charity is St Vincent de Paul but feel free to donate to yours. Send me an email ian.titulaer@gmail.com , contact me on facebook messenger https://m.me/ian.titulaer or give me a call +61408691904 is all you need to do. I can make any of the wood ukes you see here without too much hassle but I can only make cookie tin ukes from tins I have or can buy easily.

I have mailed ukes all over the world. International postage (including tracking) is about 20 Australian dollarydoos for the ultralight travel ukes and 40 to 50 Australian dollarydoos ( 25 to 33 yankee dollars) for most others depending on weight, with one recent Tahitian style costing $60. COVID-19 had significantly delayed mail to a number of locations and most of these have now resolved themselves. Lately mail to the USA is taking 2 to 3 weeks. However some locations may still have significant delays. If you are lucky enough to live in Australia I get charged by Cubic weight rather than actual weight so it is dependent on size rather than weight with a large uke recently costing $55 to send to WA, mostly standard size ukes cost around $30 or so. If you are in or near Canberra you can pick it up at my place or have it dropped off for free.

When I make a uke I almost always add a photo to this: Photo album of ukes

No ukuleles were harmed in the making of this web page
