Epilogue

On October 5, 2008, we went to Guido's to celebrate the completed booth. We have no photos from the day, but everyone had a great time. Tom was kind enough to buy us dinner, which was particularly nice because after all was said and done, nobody submitted any reimbursement forms.

At the end of October, it was with some sadness that I moved to New Jersey. As a farewell gift, a number of coworkers prepared a video where all the footage was taken in the booth. The video is called "Cult of Konberg", and among its many features is a kind message from Tobias, who you may remember was warned to keep out. I didn't include the video clip, but look at the photo on the right; you can feel the love. The booth still sits in the office, and it's available for confessions. Twice, colleagues have asked us to borrow the booth for their weddings. If that happens, Benji's software design will make it easy to repurpose it, though the wedding guests whisper questions about the wizard hat.

Mascots

Our two reliable mascots were Benji's dog AARP and my dog Maggie. Making the booth wouldn't have been nearly enough fun without them.

And Special Thanks To...

Of course, we couldn't have done this without Tom. Tom, thank you for encouraging us and being willing to suffer mild silliness to be our cult leader.

And with that, we're done. Tom, take us out.

The End

The Cult of Tom loves Tom.

The Cult of Tom loves you.
