Technology

Technology is a broad concept that deals with an animal species' usage and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how it affects an animal species' ability to control and adapt to its environment.

However, a strict definition is elusive; "technology" can refer to material objects of use to humanity, such as machines, hardware or utensils, but can also encompass broader themes, including systems, methods of organization, and techniques. The term can either be applied generally or to specific areas: examples include "construction technology", "medical technology", or "state-of-the-art technology".

So what’s with the barrel of nails you ask? Well this is the old technology of how farms received their nails... in a barrel. This is a prime example of our technology advancements in the construction world and also of the mess left behind. This old barrel, sits rusting at land that the Santa Clara County had eminent domain back in the 1980's. The property is beautiful with 5 old houses on it that just are becoming dilapidated with time. Farm equipment, stables, barns and houses sit empty. What a waste of resource!

Recently on the news there were some construction sites in Southern California being torn down. Never completed homes, never lived in and now all that is going into a landfill somewhere. With all the technology we have here in the USA we should have a way to save resources, share them and people should be able to live in those homes instead of all that going to garbage never-ever-land!
