Lake Marion Artisans (LMA) Strategic Plan: 2019-2024

Vision Statement: To become the premier ‘hub’ for Artisans and the Fine Arts communities in Summerton and the surrounding Santee Cooper Lake Country over the coming years.

Mission Statement: To support the arts, advance art education, and encourage an appreciation for arts and crafts in the Lake Marion region.

Major Goals:

• • Promote the work of local South Carolina artists and crafts people.

  • Help develop new artistic talent across all segments of the community.

  • Offer education and training programs to the public in various arts and crafts.

  • Schedule arts and crafts entertainment events for the public.

  • Use art as a means to improve the overall growth and education of our children.

  • Promote a greater sense of community and enhance economic development.

• Establish the Lake Marion Artisans gallery as the primary community hub for artisan gatherings and activities.
