Welcome to the 20th meeting of the Norwegian Statistical Association. The meeting will take place at the idyllic Sola Strand hotel nearby Stavanger, from June 17 - 20, 2019. There will be a workshop about research dissemination and visualization in statistics from lunch (June 17) to lunch (June 18). The workshop will be followed by the conference from lunch (June 18) to lunch (June 20). More about the program here.

Traditionally, about half of the talks at this meeting are given in Norwegian. However, speakers are encouraged to have at least the slides in English. Information about language for each presentation will be given in the final program.
Call for Abstracts
We cordially invite you to the 20th meeting of the Norwegian Statistical Association. The conference welcomes contributions to all area of statistics. The deadline for sending in an abstract for a talk during the conference is March 15, 2019.

Registration
The deadline for conference registration is April 26, 2019. You have to fill out the following form. The form is only in Norwegian and consist of three parts. First, you have to choose if you attend the workshop (forkurs) and/or the conference. You have to write the total amount into the field "Totalsum" and to transfer the money to the mentioned bank account. Second, you have to make a choice about the hotel. If you want to overnight at the hotel, you go with the first option "For deltakere som overnatter på hotellet" and choose the days accordingly. Monday includes (lunch and dinner on Monday, overnight from Monday to Tuesday and breakfast on Tuesday). Tuesday includes (lunch and dinner on Tuesday, overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday and breakfast on Wednesday). Wednesday includes (lunch and dinner on Wednesday , overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, breakfast and lunch on Thursday). If you do not overnight at the hotel you can go with the second option. Third, you have to register your personal information.
Note: The workshop and conference fee has to be transferred to the bank account. The hotel has to be paid at the end of the stay to the hotel directly.
Master students: All master students get free workshop and the conference fee. Please select the according points in the registration form.
Practical tips
Sola Strand hotel is located by the sand dunes at Sola beach. The hotel is located ca 2 km from the Stavanger airport, Sola, see map here.
Arriving at the airport: You have either to take a short ride with a taxi to the hotel, or you might consider to to walk if you don't have too much luggage.
Arriving with the train / Stavanger center: Unfortunately there are no direct bus connections to the hotel. However, there are several bus connections close to the airport. For more detailed information about bus connections, please look here.
