There are two main types of aquabikes, Personal Water Crafts (PWC) - runabout and jet ski. On the first rider sits and on the second rider stands.

Jet Ski

There are many different type of racing with aquabikes.

• Closed course racing or circuit racing
• Freestyle, where riders make tricks.
• Offshore, Endurance and Rally Jet
• Slalom
• Freeride
• etc.

Normally runabouts and jet skies are not competing against each other.
