Little Big Journey (End2End) 2004

Little Big Journey (End2End) start

In 2004, tennis players Paul Fleming and Richard Bradley, cycled 950 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End in 10 days and a couple of hours.

It was called 'The Little Big journey' because, being unsupported, they were a little party, cycling on a big journey. Covering almost 100 miles a day, it proved both physically demanding and wonderfully exhilarating, and in the process they discovered how generous people can be.

There was the family donating their change in a Scottish service station, a waitress donating her day's tips in the Station Tearooms in Crediton and Brookhays Farm, Cossington refusing to accept payment for their bed & breakfast. We must mention as well, the wonderful breakfast barbecue in Much Wenlock that raised both £400 and our spirits after a hard first 6 days. Our thanks go to all these generous and spontaneuos people and everyone else who donated money and time to make this ride possible and raise the grand total of £5,000 for the MS Trust.
