New Drop-in Centre

The Leicester and District Multiple Sclerosis Society moved into their own premises at 27 Latimer Street, Anstey in October 2009 and then spent several weeks putting the finishing touches, such as curtains, pictures, display stands etc in place ready for the official opening. This took place on Thursday 26th of November when the Mayor of Charnwood attended the opening along with about 30 guests, including many benefactors, Parish and County Councillors, Dr Jayatunga, Fiona the MS nurse, and representatives from other branches and the therapy centre.

The Drop-in Centre is open every Tuesday between 11am and 2pm. You can have a tea or coffee or cooked food and a choice of wonderful homemade cakes are always available. They  are a very friendly group of people who enjoy a laugh and a chat, and you could also come and see Allison, the MS nurse, or Julie the chiropodist.

Raising money is now vital to complete the upstairs of the building to enable the branch to have private treatment rooms and a computer suite and this is why Brad and Paul are getting on their bikes again.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated, thank you.
