Ernest George Sheldon married Minnie Louise Dorothy VOGLER on 31 May 1903 in Natal (Source: "Vogler Graves in East London", Rootsweb.com). They had one child, Herbert Arnold Sheldon.

Ernest and Minnie were divorced in c.1913, and Ernest returned to Australia.

Ernest, after his return to Australia, married ldre Anna Wilhelmena SCHMIDT in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia in August 1914. They had eight children.
