Statistics of Tuba's register

I've created some visible data about Tuba's tone register per each compositions. These statistics are from 323 compositions which I could see the musicsheets for Tuba (at September, 2008). It may be updated if I can get more. Off cource I'm welcome if you give me the data!

  • Distribution data of highest/lowest tone per compositions

The lowest tone per each compositions are almost within 1 octove, on the other hand, the highest tone is distributed over 2 octaves. The top-most lowest tone is 1-G# (1-Ab), and top-most highest tone is 3-G# (4-Ab). So many composers think Tuba's register is from 1-G# to 3-G#.

  • Top 10 compositions using the broadest register for Tuba

I used to think French compositions are relatively higher. but not so leaning. GBR, FRA (including Stravinsky's 2 songs composed in Paris and Mousorugsky's arranged by Ravel), GER and AUT.
