Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is an internationally   reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi, India. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. We transform lives and serve society by creating knowledge and putting it to work on a large scale with excellence.

The Department of Psychology is one of the premier Departments which, right from its inception in the year 1949, has incessantly strived to inculcate the motto of scientific rigour in its students. The Department obtained its independent status in 1962 and it has maintained its tradition of equal emphasis on experimentation as well as on applied areas. It has 7 well-equipped laboratories that are currently the most advanced in this country and can compete with any good laboratory abroad.

International Journal of Recent Advances in Psychology (IJRAP)

IJRP was established in 2015 by the Department of Psychology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India (previously entitled Recent Advances in Psychology- An international journal). Our mission is to promote quality researches in the field of Psychology, covering its entire spectrum. The first issue of IJRAP was released on the occasion of International Conference on Recent Advances in Psychology organized by the department, in the presence of numerous National and International stalwarts of the Psychology assembled on this occasion. Since then, it is being continuously published and maintains its ethical values and commitment for the standards of publications. 

IJRP is a half yearly Peer-reviewed journal. The colleagues and research scholars are requested to submit their papers in APA format, with a word limit of 3000 words, at any time. Our attitude is always facilitating and promoting the scholars. We try our best to process the review and inform the authors about the status of their paper as soon as possible. Your cooperation in this regard is highly valuable. Let us work together.
