AP American Government (with Economics) (Yearlong course)

This course is a yearlong study of the philosophical and Constitutional foundations of United States government and a practical analysis of how the government works today. While foundational principles are addressed, the emphasis on the course is in gaining a practical understanding of current government institutions, partisan politics, and public policy. In addition, course will integrate the California Economics Standards to fulfill course requirement. The yearlong course is designed to prepare students who wish to take the AP Government Exam. In addition to coursework, six (6) community participation credits are required per semester to earn a passing grade in this course. This course is a yearlong course. If you drop this course at the semester, you are required to complete both American Government and Economics.
