Workshop - How to publish your scientific results for VNese researchers

This webinar aims to help Vietnamese scientists to disseminate their research via peer-reviewed publications. We have a fantastic list of panellists consisting of journal editor and faculty members who have considerable experience in publishing scientific papers. The panellist will discuss about the scientific publishing from writing of a scientific paper and submission to response to reviewers' comments.

Panellist:

Kristina joined Nature Communications in March 2017. She completed her MEng and PhD at Imperial College London, where she investigated real-time deformation of semi-solid aluminium-copper alloys using synchrotron X-ray tomography. She continued on at Imperial College as a postdoctoral scientist imaging semi-solid steels before extending her work to solid oxide fuel cells. Kristina handles manuscripts spanning all areas of metallurgy and materials under pressure.

Dr. Huy Bui holds a Canada Research Chair in Cryo-Electron Tomography and is a CIFAR Global Scholar at McGill Univ. He did his Ph.D. at ETH Zurich and spent time at EMBL Heidelberg. He is fascinated by developing new EM methods to understand the structure and function of complex macromolecules, in particular, the structure of eukaryotic cilia.  Dr. Bui's research has been published in highly respected journals including Nature, Science and Cell.

Dr. Pham leads a research group of 10 PhD students and 1 postdoc at Imperial with a focus on advanced materials. He obtained a Doctoral of Science degree from ETHZ (awarded ETH Medal). Before joining Imperial, he was a postdoc at Carnegie Mellon University (was located at NIST as a guest researcher). His research has been highly recognised via a number of accolades in UK, USA and Switzerland, and via peer-reviewed publications (including in Nature, Nature Communications, and J. of Mechanics and Physics of Solids).
