Whooping Hollow Woods

The 652 acre ranch, located at the head of Whooping Hollow, is isolated on three sides by limestone bluffs. Pastures are located on both sides of the deep hollow. With no very close neighbors, the nearest community, Alpena (population 300) is 7 miles away, Harrison is 20 miles to the east, Fayetteville 50 miles to the west, and Branson, Missouri is 45 miles to the north, not much of anything to the south.

Looking east from the front porch which is even more spectacular as is the view north

at the pastures across the hollow in the fall looking down the hollow.

Limestone bluffs create isolation and Winter snows offer peaceful quiet while Ice storms form a crystal world.

Bucks gather in the front yard. Turkeys in the side yard. and Elk roam in the back yard.

Columbine branch flowing into Whooping Holow helps create the waterfalls.
