manifesto

Trade is a good way to get things to people, and it's more efficient than getting the government to do it. How much better it would be, though, if we could provide for ourselves from our own efforts on our own land. This is the direction in which we must take England. We must also get away from debt-financed enterprise and from money that's mere paper or numbers on a computer-screen. Barter should be encouraged as well as a currency that is based on precious metals. Our armed forces should be used only to defend our shores. Our state should be small, tax minimal. We should make our own arrangements for health and education. It would be ethical for government to encourage frugality rather than consumption.
