Personal

I consider myself as a European citizen, having lived and worked in 3 European countries. I was born and grew up at the foot of the Western Alps in Turin, the ancient capital of Italy, not far from Langhe vineyards and the Italian lake district. I also spent 3 very happy years just across the Alps in Grenoble, France (where I met wonderful people and climbed awesome mountains) and 2 years in Warwickshire, UK (hiking the British coastline, hills and canals in my spare time), before finally settling down in Lille.

I also traveled around Europe for leisure: beside Italy, France and the UK, I have been to Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, and a bit beyond Europe to Canada, US, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Cape Verde, Turkey, China and Australia. Apart from my native language (Italian), I fluently speak English, French, Spanish, some German, and a little Icelandic, and Portuguese.

Hiking in the mountains, along the coastline, or across the countryside is my hobby. I plan to add infos and photos of the many multi-day treks that I have completed on this website, in the future.
