The Global Teenager Project (GTP) offers a rich and dynamic international learning environment where students learn together with more than 20.000 students in over 42 countries in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Dutch, German, Ukrainian, Slovenian and Papiamentu. In several countries national Learning Circles run in local languages.

GTP Learning Circles run in wikis which are enriched with Web 2.0 tools. (add links) The Learning Circles run twice a year, under professional guidance, and group an average of 8 to 12 classes in communication and research based Circle which are grouped by age as follows:

• • Communication based: 9 to 12 years old

  • Communication and research based: 12 to 15 and 15 to 18 years old·

GTP has currently expanded its Leaning Circles to include children of all abilities, Gifted & Talented and Special Education Needs thematic Learning Circles. (Add links)

In addition, the Global Teenager Project offers an online Learning Circle Methodology Course to teachers and future teachers interested in developing solid understanding of the Learning Circle Methodology.

GTP was initiated in 1998 by the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) and runs in partnership with iEARN, the International Education and Resource Network . As of 2011 GTP is supported by the Global Teenager Foundation. www.globalteenagerfoundation.org
