Session 1 (in-person: January 15, 2010, 4 hour meeting)
Introduction to LC
Pre-survey on culturally responsive evaluation (if not completed prior to first meeting)
Opening activity
Schedule for remaining weeks and roles and responsibilities of LC members (e.g., ground rules and expect
Review of internet-based technologies (SKYPE)
Session 2 (in-person: January 29, 2010)
Overview of culturally responsive evaluation
Sharing of NHEP-funded projects
Discussion on perceptions of and challenges to culturally responsive evaluation within a Native Hawaiian context
Identify personal strengths and areas for growth related to conducting culturally responsive evaluations
PLANNING THE PROJECTS (February 12 - March 12, 2010)
Session 3, 4, and 5 (SKYPE: February 12, February 26, and March 12, 2010)
Each session, 2-3 participants share current (“as is”) evaluation plans of NHEP-funded projects
All LC members to discuss and review as a group
All LC members to work on revising individual project plans, based on feedback from group
SHARING THE RESULTS (March 26 - April 9, 2010)
Session 6 (in-person: March 26, 2010)
LC members to present revised plans
Group will identify common elements shared by all plans
Group will identify and discuss potential challenges to implementing the revised plans
Session 7 (SKYPE: April 9, 2010)
LC members to identify potential challenges specific to their project in implementing their plans
CLOSING THE CIRCLE (April 23, 2010)
Session 8 (in-person)
Post-survey on culturally responsive evaluation and the use of LCs as a tool for professional development
Discussion on lessons learned
Next steps (including follow-up in 3-6 months)
