- NJ Dragon Boat Club Team Highlights:
- April 18 - 5:45PM, TEAM SOS = 1st practice
- April 11 - 6PM, TEAM SOS Orientation, at Lake Parsippany @ 850 Lake Shore Drive, Parsippany.
- April 3 - 10AM, Boat Move, meet at Livingston (rain date=April 10).
2012 SEASON
- All teams will start their practices in April. In the meantime...many have off season team activities! Pick a team and try it out! We have several teams for you to consider that should match your interest. Check out the team descriptions below for our Women's Breast Cancer Survivor team (Pathways Team SOS NJ), our committed mixed crew (Team Dragons), our recreational mixed crew (NJDBC Club Crew), and our jr crew (NJDBC Jrs) and join us next April.
- We will coordinate a team trip to China this June. We invite non-NJDBC members to join us in the 2012 China dragon boat race series. Past team trips: 2002, 2007.
ABOUT US
- As NJ's first and largest dragon boat club, 2011 represents our 12th season. We work hard to promote the sport we love, through hosting clinics, event hosting, consulting, volunteering and maintaining an open partnership with non-members of all levels to compete with us. We have several teams within our club designed to care for the range of interests in our membership.
- NJDB Club Crew: We look to continue expanding our experiences, sharing them with others and growing our network of dragon boat partners everywhere! We take on anyone as a race team member, regardless of skill level. Guys, gals, jrs welcome! Practices on Wednesdays 5:45PM. Started 4/27.
- TEAM DRAGONS: This crew represent the more fanatical dragon boat racing crew of the NJDB Club. They stress team work and commitment in practices and competitions. They look to add to past successes. RECRUITING POSTER. Practices = Tuesday and Thursdays at 6PM, Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30AM. Started 4/30
- PATHWAYS TEAM SOS NJ - our Women and Breast Cancer Survivor and Supporter Dragon Boat Team. With lots of support from Pathways, the Connection in Summit, Women's Breast Cancer Support program. Practices = Mondays at 6PM. Call 908-273-4242 after 5PM to confirm practice is on. Started 4/25.
- TEAM AIYA Jrs: We looking to get this crew started again for the NYC races. So forward any new jrs with dragon boat interest to "coach @ njdragonboat.org".
