  • saw the second Animation Sannin no Kai in 1962 and was inspired to go into independent animation himself
  • worked as an animator on Hiroshi Manabe's Space Bird (宇宙鳥, 1965)
  • made his independent animation debut with A Story of the Planet Moston
  • regular contributor to Minna no Uta (NHK), animating 11 shorts for the show between 1970 and 1999.
  • contributed a short to Kihachiro Kawamoto's renku animation Winter Days (2003)
  • founder of the animation studio Anime-ya.
  • a member of the animation collective G9+1
