It was the year 2409 and the night of the Emmy awards. The former crew of Voyager was in attendance because of a holo-documentary about the time Voyager spent in the Delta Quadrant.

Most of the former Voyager crew had arrived shortly after each other and were catching up and posing for the press on the red carpet. Then they hear the press call out "Janeway" and all heads swivel to watch the latest arrival make her way on the red carpet.

Regal. Commanding. Impossibly stunning for a woman of 60 years of age.

Chakotay gasped 'Gods she is still gorgeous!'' and Seven could only dip her head in stunned acknowledgment. Omega. Perfection.

"Tom... Kim... B'Elanna... Tuvok... Doctor... Chakotay....... Seven," their former Captain greeted each of them warmly in that husky voice they remembered so well. If she had briefly stumbled before saying Seven's name, well, who could blame her? The love her life stood there in a dress that clung to her like liquid metal. Years had passed and still she affected her so.

"Kathryn," Seven returned the greeting and let herself be pulled into a friendly hug.

Holo video cameras were capturing the moment of the reunion and beaming it all across the planet and beyond.

All too soon the hug was over and they made their way into the auditorium.

Seven felt uncharacteristically woozy. She always did when she was around Janeway. She had been wearing some subtle but wholly intoxicating perfume and her eidetic memory kept replaying the feel of her former captain in her arms from their brief hug. Further up ahead, Janeway gracefully glided across the carpet. Seven was slightly dismayed at the realisation that her feelings for the older woman had not abated at all. They'd simply gone into 'regeneration', ready to awaken the minute she was in Janeway's vibrant presence again.
