Entomology Group Events

Sunday, January 24 at 7:00 PM, the Entomology group will host a talk by Chris Harley, entomologist at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. Chris will discuss his graduate research, "Arthropod life in leaf litter habitat with special focus on the beetle family Latridiidae." The meeting will be held at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. Enter through Faust Park.

Tuesday, February 16 at 7:30 PM – Bob Merz, Caretaker of Invertebrates at the St. Louis Zoo will discuss “The Recovery of the American Burying Beetle.” The meeting will take place at the Monsanto Auditorium on the lower level of the Living World at the St. Louis Zoo. For this event, park on the north side of the zoo and come in the Living World entrance. Someone from the entomology group will be there to guide you to the auditorium.

Sunday, February 21 at 7:00 PM – Jennifer Hopwood will present, "Bugs, Bees, and butterflies; All About the Xerces Society." The Xerces Society is an organization that protects wildlife through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitat. Mike Arduser will host the meeting at Busch Wildlife Conservation Center. Go in the main entrance and follow the road signs to the main building.
