How to Transfer Files

You have many options of transferring MIDI files and sound files to the app:

  • ITunes: transmission via Mac or PC

  • ICloud: synchronizes the data on all your Apple devices. (Network connection required)

  • Other Apps from the manufacturer this app: All of his apps access to the same iCloud directory. (No network connection required)

  • Safari: search for a website that offers SoundFonts. Click on the file. Wait until it is downloaded. Then select this app in the "Open In" dialog.

  • Mail: Select the attachment and select this app in the "Open In" dialog.

  • Other apps: use the "Open In" dialog. (Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive)

Transfer files from a Mac to your iPad or iPhone using iCloud

Locate the iCloud Folder ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/5WK8MLWS24~de~webli~garbers~SolFa-Mode-Go-Round/Documents in your Finder.

To Open the Library folder, select menu "Go", hold <Alt> key and select "Library".

Copy files there and find them in the file browser under iCloud (after pressing refresh).

Don't put too many files there, or the app may hang.

Note: in iTunes you will only see files in the Document (Local) directory. To transfer folders, zip it on the Mac/PC or in the file browser tab of the iOS app and open the zip file on the other side.

Export files from the app

In the file browser tab, select a single file, then press the

button.

You can copy the file, send it by mail, or open it in another music apps or general purpose file transfer app (Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive).

To export files via iCloud, select them in the file browser tab, press Move, navigate to an iCloud (sub-)folder and press Dup (duplicate) or Move Here (removes the file from its previous location).

To export files via iTunes, move the file to the Local root folder. Then connect the device to your Mac or PC.

To transfer folders via iTunes, zip them first, by selecting the folder and pressing the Zip button.
