Artist Shane Waltener has recently sent me some photos of some installations he made in our little Park.
I always like little surprises and installation, even if impermanent, that can intrigue and entertain. Some have been hosted in the WildLife Area.
Shane, that lives locally, is a convinced supporter of the importance of park and green spaces in our daily life.
He is a master of Practical Basketry and many of his works have been inspired by the natural world.
Here are some of the pictures he has sent to me (not in order - better resolution ones will be available through his website)
'Twined and corded nettles bark and pith'. Please see them in their proper order when publicised by the artist on the dailymades section of his website.
