Chief of Police Jamie Perkins is a 1997 graduate of the Willow Springs, Missouri High School and attended the Missouri Sheriff’s Training Academy February 29, 2000 and graduated November 19, 2000. Chief Perkins is a Department of Public Safety graduate of the Drug Evaluation and Classification Program established by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. He has over 17 years experience as a full-time Patrolman in the State of Missouri, during which time he has been assigned as a Drug Recognition Expert, Field Training Officer and Juvenile Investigator in the Counties of Shannon and Howell, State of Missouri.


Chief Perkins has held the position of Patrolman, Patrolman First Class, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant and on August 29, 2010 was promoted as the coveted Chief of Police. His law enforcement awards and decorations include: the Award of Hazardous Materials certification, Award of Service with 3 Stars and has a Fire Fighter I certification. Chief Perkins has two children and he is proudly serving the citizens of Mountain View, Missouri.
