The Project

So you may be wondering, what is this project all about?

The use of the London Underground Roundel, the expression "Mind the Gap" and the multi-coloured characters in manga style you're watching around here aren't just something made out of no purpose.

The Mind the Gap project is a Manga and Anime project! Not your normal Manga or Anime story, but a story about the London Underground, Overground, Docklands Light Rail and Tram Link!

Still confused? Why not check out information about the Underground, Overground, Docklands Light Rail and Tram Link? Are you right on track? Then let's move on!

Mind the Gap is going to be a story about the everyday life of a British group of children and teenagers that represent each one a line from the London Underground or one of the other railway services from Transport for London.

The plot will be placed all around London and Greater London, in the most varied amount of places and landmarks and with a varied amount of talking themes. The story is intended for the same range of ages as the main characters and will take the reader or viewer to London.

The number of characters creates a rich environment that helps develop a complex structure that not only will teach the reader/viewer aspects of the London Public Transport, but also about London, its History, the British customs and other interesting British trivia. As well as introducing a group of friends of similar age and multiple personalities and interests in which the reader/viewer can identify themselves and learn new things from how the group interacts.

We hope to create an interesting and linear story that can appeal to the reader/viewer and develop an environment in the characters that can bring various different feelings, from comedy moments to sensible ones, from relaxed to thrilling ones, developing in each spotlighted character its personality and experience, as well as its relationship with its counterparts.

This is also the pilot project for the opening of a new animation studio in London, aimed at creating British-made series based on the Japanese Manga and Anime style and possibly bringing and professionally dubbing Japanese Anime. It will also be the opportunity for many European artists aiming to create Manga and/or Anime to have an easier, closer studio that not only will have the same quality as its veteran Japanese counterparts, it will also be a middleman between the artist and Japan to develop and broadcast his/her work in the Japanese manga and anime universe, making sure that the Japanese dubbing will meet both the London Animation Studio, the Japanese and the artist quality standards and requirements.

Hope you've got interested on our project! Please Mind the Gap between the doors and the platform and stand clear of the doors.
