Besides excelling in Cross Country and Track, Sophie maintains a 3.9 GPA and she is a member of the Moanalua High School’s National Honor Society.  She is also an excellent Cellist and was a member of the national acclaimed Moanalua High School’s Symphonic Orchestra in her Sophomore and Junior years; however, due to her heavy academic and extra curricular load, she unwittingly gave up playing the cello.  She is also the commander (Cornel) in charge of the Moanalua’s ROTC program. Even with this extremely busy schedule, she makes time to participate in many Athletic, ROTC and School Community Service Projects; as it is very important to her that she gives back to the community (Some of the events she has been involved in and have participated in are as follows:  helping in the officiating of Moanalua High School’s Track Team’s Annual Intermediate Track Meet, assist in running games at the Annual Moanalua Elementary School’s after school A+ Penny Carnival, help at the various Halloween Events put on by the City and County Parks and Recreation and Elementary Schools in the Salt Lake/Moanalua Area, coordinating Moanalua’s ROTC Color Guard and Special Forces participation in many of the parades and Military events honoring our military personal, etc.).  She would like to pursue a career as a nurse - presently looking at attending Seattle University; she has been accepted in its early acceptance, four year nursing program.  She would also, like to get her pilot’s license and get into NASA’S Astronaut Program.
