What, no public comments?

Well, I just figured out that Google Sites is pretty crippled when it comes to comments. They have a nice comment feature built into the Sites page templates, and allow owners and invited, signed-in "collaborators" to use it, but do NOT allow public visitors to use it. However, the "collaborator" role is allowed to add, edit, or delete pages from the website, so there is not "view and comment only" role or access control option. WTF Google!?! I have to guess they are concerned about these freebie Sites websites filling up with garbage, or used for illegal file trading and whatnot. PITA for the kind of people I'd like to visit here and help me make better free software.

Maybe if I start working with you for a long time and develop a high level of trust, I'll invite you as a collaborator. Otherwise, for basic blog posting discussion comments and simple kinds of collaboration associated with the projects, I'll post a link to an appropriate forum, probably at the Tiny Core Linux Forum. That's assuming I don't wear out my welcome over there! There may be other options to embed comments here, but they look cumbersome and require psting in an extra "gadget" to an external comment hosting service. I do hope to hear from you. Also, take note of my new "Contact" page. Hope to hear from you!
