Success is not a windfall of money. It is a way of life!
It requires adherence to high standards, good judgment and self-discipline!
"[Sustained] inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon." (Milton Friedman)
A word to the wise, always keep some reserves on hand. Get "over the top" and try NOT to spend your way back to the bottom!
Good Economics:
Have an income! This means that you must do one or more of the following for money:
(1) Trade the produce of your land; (2) get an education and a skill, and trade your knowledge and skill in an educational setting, and/or the merchandise and products of your knowledge and skill in a business or practice; (3) get a job and trade your labor; (4) make a profitable investment; (5) etc., etc.. Then be sure to do the following:
Live within your means and above E! This means that you must do the following:
Don't spend all of your income, but save some of it for (1) reinvestment purposes (a reinvestment fund to cover depreciation plus new investments) and (2) a rainy day (a contigency fund)! In other words, live on "a quarter tank of gas"--don't live on "E"! which means always try to refill when you get down to about a quarter--don't wait till you get down to E (you'll see the wisdom of this when you get into a jam)!
After all of the above, then be sure to keep up with inflation, on your own, or join a labor union to help you do so!
