Interior Complete

Leather

Seats were reupholstered with Mercedes Orange Bamboo leather using the original pigskin leather as a template. In addition to the seats the door panel and trim welting, kick panels and rear deck were covered in the same leather.  The work was done by Jack Davis at Jeda Generations Auto in San Jose  I always get complements on the job and I feel it's the best part of the car.

Wood

Dash and door panel wood is African Mahogany with a custom color stain that approximates the color of the Nardi wood wheel. Wood finished with a urethane applied by brush followed by sanding and polishing

Door Panels

Door panels are original unmodified other than an extensive scrubbing with a variety of cleaners to remove 30+ years of grime.  Castrol super clean and a small tooth brush works wonders

Carpet

Carpet was sourced from World Upholstery, it is a German loop in a two tone pattern.  The original color was dark brown but it made the interior look dingy so I switched to the lighter color (Hazel) and I'm glad I did.  I recently check the world upholstery site and they no longer have the German loop listed under BMW but you can still find it on their site.
