About

IntJC stands for "Interpreting Journal Club". Here, we gather at a fixed date and time to discuss over Twitter in chat mode a document, academic or not, provided ahead of time, that matters to our various forms and levels of involvement in language interpretation.

Anyone involved or interested is welcome. Anyone means: seasoned or not interpreters, consec or simul, sign language, in conference, in social, business, medical, legal, liaison or any theater you can think about, beginners, students, teachers, interpreters with or without formal training, interpreters with many other professionals hats without distinction. Come to learn, exchange, think, get hints and ideas, provide insights and link with other interpreters worldwide. If you are not used to it and fret about reading and discussing academic content and other "hard stuff", don't procrastinate. Most participants are not used to it (or is it me only?) , so lets try and be enlightened, encouraged and fortified.

The inspiration and model behind #IntJC is the medical Twitter Journal Club. You can read an article about the concept over Nature News here (free registration may be needed).

Participation is easy.

The best way to communicate in public mode is by using the #IntJC hashtag over Twitter. Remember that the whole world and more can see the content.
