Bnai Jacob

Polish immigrants to Cincinnati founded Bnai Jacob on Clinton Street (date unknown).

In 1911 Anshei Sholom partnered with the B’Nai Jacob congregation (also known as the Polish Congregation), and together they bought land in Price Hill. In 1915 they left Price Hill and moved to the house of the Talmud Torah located in downtown Cincinnati. They remained there until 1922 when they purchased their synagogue located at 424 Clark Street.

It merged with Anshei Sholom around 1932 to form Agudas Israel and acquired a former church on Forest Avenue in 1932.
