From Cincinnati, The Queen City, 1788-1912, "Kehilah Kedoshah Beth Tefila (House of Prayer) congregation was founded in 1869 by Schachne Isaacs and several associates who were dissatisfied with the unorthodox tendencies then existing in Cincinnati."
