Heru

Greek: Horus

Name may derive from h.ry: "the one who is above/far from". (Religion in AE: Gods, Myths, and Personal Practice)

Conflict between the /rivals is the key to the life realm. Transformational cycles of Ra - (Atum, Re-Harakhti, Heru-Ra) - full cycle from birth to old age, tranformation and transference, etc.; Heru's life-cycle bound to the solar cycle.

Heru's life is solar, but grounded in chthonic processes. Unifies these realms.

The king is an instantiation of the rule of Heru.

Blinded by Set - gains power/sexual maturity needed to rule and protect Wesir and His realm. Unites even his own opposite into an all-encompassing totality.

Possesses the ba-power of Wesir, as manifestation and emanation of vital force, proof of victory over death. Occupation of the throne creates essential identity between the generator and the generated son.

In the Memphite theology, orders the drowning Wesir to be pulled from the waters; is seen in later texts pulling drowned souls from the waters of the Duat.
