Aset

Greek: Isis

Titles: "The Living One" (Ankhet), "The Great Throne", "Mistress of Life", "Great of Magic"

The throne upon which Heru sits as a child in the lap of His mother.

When unified with the Eye, root of earth prosperity and fertility, bringing forth food bounty in "the granary of Tatenen".

Guardian of the liver in the canopic jars (with human-headed Imsety); the liver of Ra is also titled "Ankhet". Liver is generative/regenerative, and holds the character or true nature of a person. (Ed: associated with the power of true Naming, perhaps?)

With Nebet-Het, traditional birth attendants. (IIRC one at the head and one at the feet of the mother.)

"Makes shade with Her plumage, creates breath with Her wings". Liminal standpoint, bearing life on the edge between the worlds of being and unbeing, capable of drawing forth potential from death. Without her, what is dead is lost, but she opens the channel to permit it to cross to create new life.

With Nebet-Het, protector, locator, preserver of Wesir: drawing him from the waters at his drowning preserves the life-potentiality and prevents it from dissolving in unbeing.

"Mother of the heart", granting form to the cosmic child - partaking of both the chthonic realm and the celestial, unifying all worlds. Seeks out that which comes from the old/dying/dead and brings forth the next generation.
