Club History

Established in 1981 as Grove Park Badminton Club, on the whim of four people with nothing better to do one evening, the club has played weekly almost ever since.

The first mixed team was entered into the Crewe League around 1987 and won the Division 6 trophy in the 1988/89 season, followed by the Division 5 trophy in the 1989/90 season. The club grew from a social club to the current form we know today, still keen to maintain a balance between social activity and competitive badminton.

In 2014, the members voted in favour of changing the name from Grove Park Badminton Club to Knutsford Badminton Club.
