Information for Prospective Members

 

 

Thank you for showing an interest in our badminton club.

A little more information about the club is below, but please feel free to telephone, or send us an email, if there is anything else you would like to know.

 

 

Potential members are encouraged to visit up to 4 times on club nights, paying a guest fee of £5 per visit (1st visit free), before deciding whether to join.

Membership of the Club is by invitation of the Committee.

 

The club aims to combine competitive match play with a lively social agenda.

All members are registered with Badminton England, Cheshire County and the Crewe and District Badminton League.

We currently have 6 teams in the Crewe & District Badminton League.

These are:

 

· Mixed teams

· Mens and Ladies teams

· 2 Veterans teams (ladies over 40/men over 45)

 

As well as playing badminton, we also have a social committee who organise some very lively and enjoyable social events. For example, this year there is 10-pin Bowling, a Treasure Hunt, a Xmas Party, a Survival Supper, and our end of season Dinner Dance.

 

A few other important facts:

 

· Club nights are Sundays 7pm – 9pm at Knutsford Leisure Centre.

· We currently play on 3 courts with feather shuttles.

· We play club nights all year round and matches from September to April.

· Home Match nights are Mondays 8pm – 10pm and Sunday 7.00pm – 9.00pm.

· Subs are currently £150 per year, paid in 2 instalments of £75, in September and March. Members who join after these dates pay a pro-rated fee.

· We also pay match fees determined by court and shuttle costs.
