What is bushwalking

Bushwalking is generally done across country where there are no roads or tracks so that participants can enjoy the environment unencumbered by the marks of civilisation. In order to do this people become skilled in navigation using maps and compasses and more recently a GPS. An experienced leader is appointed for all walks so that beginners do not initially need these navigation skills.

The walk destination will be a point of interest, often with a good view.

The Club produces a regular newsletter in which reports of recent walks are published. If you are interested in obtaining more information about the Club please refer to the page Contact Us.
