Simply put, "common-sense Second Amendment advocacy" is to advocate for gun rights and laws that enable Americans to exercise their right to keep and bear arms as the forefathers intended. That means that all Americans, with the exception of those who are obviously a danger to society, should be able to purchase and carry the firearm of their choice, in all 50 states. I do respect states' rights, but I believe that nationwide concealed carry is necessary to ensure the safety and freedom of all Americans. Unnecessary laws, fees, waiting periods, etc. restrict people from being able to defend themselves. At the same time, I also believe that we have to keep firearms out of the hands of people who might do harm, but with the possibility for rehabilitation and restoration of gun rights once a sentence has been served.
