Advocate or activist?

Prior to today, my description on most of my social media accounts listed me as a "Second Amendment advocate". Lately, I have heard lots of discussion regarding the difference between being an advocate and an activist. An "advocate" is in favor of the Second Amendment, but does not necessarily take any action in that regard; an "activist" actively promotes the Second Amendment - by creating discussion videos, commenting on news articles, attending rallies, writing their representatives, etc.

I have decided that I need to be an activist. The Second Amendment is in danger. Political candidates, the mass media, etc. are all actively trying to chip away at our gun rights. Several states have passed restrictions regarding what guns you can own, how many you can buy, even going so far as to require a background check to purchase ammo! We can either sit and lament about our bad fortune, or we can speak up, take action, and do whatever it takes to right these wrongs! Maybe one person can't fight the fight alone, but we need to get in the fight.

To quote NightStryke - "Shall not be infringed!" He takes a lot of heat for this tag line, but he's not wrong.
